Long-time musical buddy, Wayne Mills talked to TTHC about the days when Taylor was just starting out and their first conversation about music: “I’ll never forget the look on his face while he talked with so much passion and determination. That’s when I knew he was for real.”
“Taylor actually called me immediately following his first audition. I was standing in my kitchen when he told me he was going to Hollywood. … I remember being so proud of him. Still am! One of ours has made it!!!"

Nice guy celebrity Taylor Hicks~"A guy with a job to do..."
The warmth could have melted the snow that had closed schools and businesses in Baltimore last week. Early morning radio personality at WBAL, Scott Wykoff was up early for the school closings but still received Taylor Hicks very warmly when Taylor visited the studio.
Wykoff couldn’t have been nicer in describing Taylor as a celebrity who couldn’t have been nicer.
“Taylor Hicks was interesting, entertaining, polite, engaging, enthusiastic, energetic and very politie. All you could ever expect a celebrity to be…[he] was a pleasure to interview. He was very warm and friendly when I met him at the door of the station. ...he was just a normal guy throughout our conversation. Refreshing.

The legendary West Hollywood nightclub on Sunset Strip, Roxy’s, will host Taylor Hicks and his shadow tour March 18th. The Roxy has been a popular West Coast nightspot since 1973. It has hosted soul music’s superstar, Amy Winehouse. Taylor's own sound of soul rocks Roxy’s during his tour with Grease at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. APRIL 14~~Cafe Du Nord, San Francisco
The city by the Bay hosts modern whomp when Market Street's Cafe Du Nord opens its doors for Taylor Hicks and his shadow tour April 14. Tickets are not yet on sale.
