It's a musical journey that crosses genres and emotions. We are taken through lasting commitments, painful goodbyes, and a hopeful plea for “...no distance between us one of these days.” There is fun and humor in up-tempo tracks. And there is the painful story of the American dream cut short--one that is too often repeated. Taylor Hicks lays down the new sound of soul!   ***"Seven Mile Breakdown" NOW a free download on Amazon MP3!*** 3.04.09

It has been called a "day of purpose" and Taylor Hicks brings his soulful support to Los Angeles' 13th Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure March 15, 2009, at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. He joins celebrity hosts and over 13,000 participants for the one-day event to raise awareness, fund research and provide breast cancer screening and treatment to the citizens of Los Angeles County.

The race was initiated in 1983, and has now grown to more than 120 races internationally with more than 1.5 million participants and more than 100,000 volunteers and activists working to make the race a reality.

The Taylor Hicks Community joins all who fervently support the Susan G. Komen Foundation in celebrating the many breast cancer survivors and honoring the memory of those who lost their battle.

You’ve got a lot going on here,” he said. (www.KOLD.com) Taylor left Tucson for New York where a blizzard prevented him from appearing on Live with Regis and Kelly on Monday. His performance on Live was postponed.
