Taylor Hicks joins a "day of purpose" with a soulful performance for Los Angeles' 13th Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure March 15, 2009, at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Celebrity hosts and over 13,000 participants come together for the event to raise awareness, fund research and provide breast cancer screening and treatment to the citizens of Los Angeles County.
Initiated in 1983, the race has now grown to more than 120 races internationally with more than 1.5 million participants and more than 100,000 volunteers and activists working to make the race a reality.
The Taylor Hicks Community joins all who fervently support the Susan G. Komen Foundation in celebrating the many breast cancer survivors and honoring the memory of those who lost their battle.

Belly Up welcomes whomp to the West Coast...
In a packed house at Belly Up Tavern, Taylor Hicks made it known he had arrived for a West Coast whomp fest! He debuted a setlist with some of his classics and brand new soul sounds from The Distance, which has just dropped on the music scene. A surprise encore, "My Sweet Lord" ended a night of celebration that said Taylor Hicks is bringing it his way!
MARCH 18~~"The Distance" debuts at Roxy's
In the first shadow tour performance after the drop on his new album, "The Distance," Taylor performs his new music at the popular West Hollywood nightspot. He is onstage at Roxy’s during his tour with Grease at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles.
APRIL 14~~Cafe Du Nord, San Francisco
Market Street's Cafe Du Nord welcomes Taylor Hicks and his shadow tour to the city by the bay.
MAY 27~~The Triple Door, Seattle
Taylor opens at the Triple Door in a Seattle landmark, the old Empire Hotel.
Seattle Theatre Group (STG) presents Taylor Hicks on Wednesday, May 27, at 8:00 p.m.

"Grease" plays the Pantages... 
"Grease" goes Hollywood with a two-week run from March 10-22 at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. The historic Pantages was the home of the Academy Awards for 10 years.
