Taylor returns home for a week’s run of “Grease” and two concerts at WorkPlay.

"Maybe You Should"
Taylor’s intense performance of "Maybe You Should" at the Beau Rivage recently held the audience spellbound as they listened in silence. He has said that a well known female country singer is looking at recording it.

Smokey Robinson once told Taylor that you have to live with the songs you record for a long time. This is one that will be easy to live with!

Front page Idol
Taylor was all over the Birmingham News Friday as he prepares to head back to his hometown next week. He was not only in the front page banner headline, he was on the cover of City Scene, the Friday magazine section. He also showed up on the front page of the society section.

He talked with Alec Harvey about "Grease," fans and 40,000 records:

"I never thought in a million years that I’d be putting on makeup for one and 1/2," says Hicks, who plays Teen Angel in the national tour of “Grease” which opens in Birmingham Tuesday.

"I’ve done 450 shows since last June. I’ve been out sick twice."

"...get humbled every night," he says. "It’s not about how many records you sell or how many shows you do, it’s about how many lives you can touch."

"By the time our tour is over, we’ll have hoped to hand-deliver 40,000 records to people all over the country," Hicks says. "Those people don’t forget that." (Alec Harvey, Birmingham News 9.18.09)

Good Day Alabama on Fox hosts Taylor with his band for a live performance on Wednesday, September 23.

Houston said goodbye to "Grease" and Teen Angel with a SOLD OUT matinee Saturday. "Grease" closes in Houston on Sunday and is Birmingham bound.

Mr. Twitterer-American Idol-World ~ The world voted and Taylor placed in a respectable sixth place. Congratulations again to Taylor for his Mr. Twitterer accolades.
