With all the twists and turns to final victory, American Idol Rewind on the TV Guide Network revisits the season that gave America platinum-recording artist, Taylor Hicks! The stars of the AI class of 2006 return to add commentary to the journey that changed their lives forever.

Auditions continue the weekend of Oct. 11 from Las Vegas where a young singer from Alabama stands in line waiting for his voice to be heard.

Teen Angel returns to celestrial duties...
In the afterglow of Birmingham's WorkPlay and Grease performances, Teen Angel took to a sunny shore as evidenced with color in his cheeks when he returned to work in Durham, NC last week. An on-the-site report said Sunday that he was tanned and looked relaxed.

GREASE National Tour Welcomes new 'Sandy,' in Phoenix
On another sunny shore, or desert, "Grease" welcomes a new cast member. "The producers of the Tony Award nominated new Broadway production of GREASETM announced that Lauren Ashley Zakrin will assume the role of "Sandy" in the national tour of the show, as of October 23, 2009, at the Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, AZ.

"Lauren Ashley Zakrin was most recently seen as the understudy for "Elle Woods" in the first national tour of Legally Blonde The Musical. She was a finalist on MTV's "Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search for Elle Woods.

"'American Idol' Season Five winner Taylor Hicks continues to star as 'Teen Angel.' Taylor Hicks made his debut on Broadway in the role. He achieved widespread fame in 2006 as a contestant on the hugely successful FOX singing competition 'American Idol.'" (Baltimore.broadwayworld.com)

"When did you feel famous?"...
Taylor was asked this by radio host, Nikki at MIX947 in Austin, TX where he will appear next with the road production of "Grease."
He replied, "When you see yourself on the cover of People Magazine." Taylor was named "Sexiest Bachelor" by People Magazine in June, 2006, and appeared on the cover and in a picture/story spread in the pop culture magazine.
