Taylor in the kitchen...
Minneapolis and St. Paul showed the Taylor love as packed houses at the Orpheum Theatre welcomed him to the cold North. Among the notables, Bret Favre was in the house!

Twitter tingled with good reviews from theatre goers. He appeared on Twin Cities Live and performed “Seven Mile Breakdown” and then was sous-chef in the kitchen cooking up a Chicken with Wild Rice Hot Dish. He admitted that he had never eaten craisins.

Taylor Hicks leaves 'em swooning...
"Of course, we can't forget one of the biggest reasons for a packed opening night theater crowd: a performance from the platinum-selling recording artist and American Idol winner, silver-haired country boy Taylor Hicks. ...I could see audience members ...light up with sheer glee to see the Bruce Springsteen vocal ringer and "Idol" star live and shaking his stuff in a glitter adorned, Vegas-style angel suit. ...Whether or not Simon Cowell would approve of his performance is a moot point. This night it was all about the audience's opinion, and they loved it. (Juleana Enright, TC Daily Planet)

KS95 Radio/Minneapolis interview...
"Are you happy personally with where you are in your career?

"I couldn’t be any more happier. A lot of it is based on the fact that I have control over my career and my career choices. You have to reinvent yourself and take chances and do different things. ...due to the success of Grease in NY and all over the country, there is some possible movie and TV film opportunities in line now."

Taylor remembers our troops...
Commemorating Veterans Day last week, Taylor announced on his website Wednesday that he has teamed up with various military and humanitarian organizations to offer a free download of his song “19.”

"Honoring our country’s servicemen and women is something that we should all celebrate together. For Veterans Day, I’d like to illustrate my appreciation for those who have served in defense of our livelihood and country by offering a free download of my song, 19. Featured on my latest album, The Distance, 19 is a patriotic song about a soldier’s call to duty. Help me celebrate the millions of veterans who have served. Continue to support organizations that help make a difference in the lives of our veterans, current servicemen, and their families. Enjoy 19!    For more information, visit taylorhicks.com
