Talor Hicks
Number 1 video!
SPENCE NICHOLSON ANSWERS QUESTIONS FOR TTHC:
The Portland, Oregon, film director who created the music video for Taylor's second single release, "Seven Mile Breakdown" talked about the one-day shoot in Ojai, California. It turned into the stunning video that sits at Number One on MuVids.com, and was the "smoothest video shoot" he's ever had.
With Taylor so involved in his music, Spence was asked if this was true in the video. "...he was very upfront about some of the things he wanted to see. His number one priority was to see an audience and how the music moved the audience, ...what we tried to pull off with the field performance. Also, he was very particular when it came to the car." MUSIC VIDEO IN THE TOP TEN~~5 WEEKS! "Seven Mile Breakdown" is still No. 1 in Top 200 and Country Top Ten on MuVids.com and No. 3 on AOL!

Fan Meets Fan~~another Kodak moment...
Tennis legend, Billie Jean King, and Taylor Hicks both appeared on the same morning TV show last week in Philadelphia. She hyped the World Team Tennis Association and Taylor promoted the run of Grease in the City of Brotherly Love. After he performed his single, Seven Mile Breakdown with the vibrant and spirited Ms. King looking on, they congenially met on stage. Backstage he asked her to sign his harmonica and gave her a CD. She said she had never signed a harmonica...had signed everything else, but never a harmonica! She kissed his CD for the cameras~~a Kodak moment for two celebrities being fans.
Taylor Hicks is featured on the cover and tops the city's list of prominent movers and shakers. "A sense of destiny, and his drive to control it, has made Taylor Hicks more than a former American Idol. It has made him an entertainer and businessman with an eye on the future." (Joe O'Donnell) Birmingham Magazine
Kodak moments abound...
"Down to earth Idol" on creative road tour...
Taylor talked to the Philadelphia News about touring and getting your voice heard:
"This is a wonderful way to be able to let fans new and old see me in a part and also see me as an artist," Hicks explained. "Nowadays, you have to be creative in the way you get your music and voice heard. The way the road tour is structured, it's a really cool way to exercise that concept. It's very rare that an artist, an entertainer, gets to go into a city to perform and stay in that particular market for multiple days or weeks, to work a Broadway show and work a record.
"In some cities - though not this one - Hicks flies in his touring band and does a late night showcase at a club. Here, he'll surely be popping up on local TV and radio shows to plug stuff. And Soul Patrollers will find him out in the lobby after every performance "to sign merchandise and CDs and shoot the breeze" just like the down-to-earth 'idol' he is." (Jonathan Takiff, Philadelphia Daily News)
