Taylor Hicks returns as a
celebrity player and guest of honor in the hometown charity golf tournament
he attended as a kid. “"Golf has been one of my lifelong passions and I am
thrilled to participate in the Regions Charity Classic Pro-AM," said Hicks
in 2007 when he first played in the event that raises money for many local
charities. Organizers expressed their sentiments for his involvement:
“Taylor has been a wonderful ambassador to the city of Birmingham-Hoover. We
appreciate his efforts to bring more awareness to the tournament and to
assist us in raising charitable funds. It is great that Taylor is coming
back to the tournament as a guest of honor when he attended the very same
tournament as a kid.”

Taylor Needs Your Help Taylor will be a
celebrity guest at the 134th
Kentucky Derby
on May 3, 2008. Taylor is going to place a bet of $5000 on the
horse that the Soul Patrol decides has the best chance of
winning. The winnings will then go to the wonderful charity,
Studio by the Tracks.
Since it is a horse race, if for some reason the horse the Soul
Patrol picks does not win, Taylor will still make a $5000
donation to
Studio by the Tracks.
